Review on πŸ¦‹ Exploring the World of Butterflies with Pllieay Collapsible Terrarium Activities by Ron Long

Nice big case BUT there are a few things to note.

Good, big and roomy cage. Monarch caterpillars easily climbed to the top to form their pupa. This is my first year helping the monarch gain butterfly status and move on. There are two things I didn't like about this case. #1 It has a thin bottom. If you want a harder butt, you have to do something yourself. But now I've learned that you don't want a developing butterfly that has just emerged from its chrysalis to fall very far, certainly not onto a hard surface, so perhaps the fragility of the enclosure's floor is a good thing . I will no longer use this pen for caterpillars or as a place for cats to pupate in the future, I will only use this pen for a butterfly to gain power to fly. Plenty of unobstructed space for the butterfly to flutter and beautiful mesh sides to grasp. #2 I didn't like how difficult it was to zip and unzip this sleeve. I'm really not sure if this case hasn't been returned as the zipper is a bit crumpled in places and the clear plastic side was all crumpled making it hard to see. I put it fully spread out in the sun and the creases on the plastic showed up nicely and now I can see through it like I'm looking out a window. Another reason I'm switching to a smaller body to lift the doll is that when you close and release the body (because it's so hard), the body shakes and really shakes those hanging dolls. If they are poorly attached, the doll will fall off. I had a fall but I made a hammock out of silk material and strangely the pupa connected the silk and the caterpillar was completely enclosed in the pupa. I have no idea how that happened, but then I could just use a pin to hang the silk from the side of the fence mesh. Finally. I will buy a smaller one so the caterpillars can feed on milkweed, crawl up and form their pupae and look like butterflies. I'm going to use this large 36 inch butterfly as a place for the butterflies to gain strength before releasing them. The zipper was difficult to close and open at the beginning, DEFINITELY CANNOT be used with one hand, requires two hands to close and open. Pull with one hand and zip with the other. The quality is good.
