Not very strong, good for science kits and toys

It was nice for butterfly habitat, it was easy to assemble but difficult to assemble because it came out square but now it's a long rectangle. Wishing it had a firm grip on one of the undersides, I put the plant inside but as I lifted the weight it fell and tipped over, the plant making an even bigger mess and damaging a butterfly. In general, everything is fine, I would recommend only butterflies, nothing else in it

Pros
  • Pleasing
Cons
  • Null

Difficult to close for training and education

The top zipper broke in the first week. And the second clings and does not want to fasten. The window is a great idea, but it's still crumpled when it was packed and that spoils the view. This was for my toddler as an educational project so I NEED something ASAP and we had caterpillars. Maybe it was just broken? I am not sure. But I would choose another if I knew lightning would have problems.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • High price

May be poor quality

Introduced when many other items were out of stock. However, this product is either of poor quality or poor quality was sent to me. Immediately opened into the hole (unfortunately not suitable for keeping insects). A thread hangs from many seams. I have bugs that will be arriving in the next day or two so I don't have time to send them back. They're generally good for what you might need, but might not be worth the price if they have all the stitching and holes.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Caterpillar Haven!: Training and Education

Due to the catastrophic decline in butterflies (and all insects) in numbers, we purchased this product to protect caterpillars from birds and wasps feasting on them. This is a perfect way to enclose our parsley plant, which has shed this year's Oriental Black Swallowtail. The caterpillars are protected by the pupal stage and transformation into a beautiful swallowtail. The habitat is a fine mesh that lets light and rain through; It is washable and easy to fold for storage.

Pros
  • An Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Out of Fashion

Nothing for Outdoors - Science Kits and Toys

Unfortunately not the quality I need. The clasp is thin. The stitching is weak and the overall strength is low. I don't like giving bad reviews but this is for the outdoors. I know for sure it won't protect flies from my monarch caterpillars. Tahnids can sneak through these small flaws. Bringing your cats indoors will give you a better chance with this particular product. I used to have longer ones.

Pros
  • Durable Test Results
Cons
  • I don't like it, everything is fine

Nice big case BUT there are a few things to note.

Good, big and roomy cage. Monarch caterpillars easily climbed to the top to form their pupa. This is my first year helping the monarch gain butterfly status and move on. There are two things I didn't like about this case. #1 It has a thin bottom. If you want a harder butt, you have to do something yourself. But now I've learned that you don't want a developing butterfly that has just emerged from its chrysalis to fall very far, certainly not onto a hard surface, so perhaps the fragility of theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Fits
