Review on πŸ”ͺ 4-Stage Kitchen Knife and Scissor Sharpener – Quickly Restore Blades with Food Safety Cut Resistant Glove – Gray by Steven Latham

Not what I expected

I was looking forward to this knife and scissor sharpener as I've recently inherited a lot of old (but good) knives. I am also new to sewing and need to keep my scissors sharp. The sharpener I ordered is silver in the photos. I received a turquoise sharpener (pictured). That would be good. However, the turquoise color is actually a foil coating and it is obvious that I received a damaged or used sharpener. There were many dents and marks on the top and where the foil had been scratched. There were even fingerprints on the foil. I tried sharpening some knives but it didn't help. Perhaps the blades are simply powerless. I've used a whetstone in my career and it actually works better than this particular sharpener. The manufacturer included a glove for those with sharp knives, which was a nice touch. I love that this sharpener has three knife sharpening slots (diamond for repairing damaged blades), tungsten (for general sharpening), and ceramic (for fine-tuning the edge). There's also a nice elastic band at the bottom of the sharpener that helps stabilize it during use.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • No instructions
