Will melt under continuous high stress
Good: Lots of cheap fuses, good for diagnostics. Bad: Higher amperage fuses will melt under sustained high amperage loads. I have to regularly replace the 40A fuse for my fan motor in my car when I'm using it at top speed. Next time I'll buy bakelite or ceramic versions instead of plastic versions so the fuse bar fails instead of the insulator.
