Avoid and buy from a reputable brand. I would not buy an ELECOM brand paint stirrer.

If you enjoy using a trackball that annoys you because it refuses to press or scroll then I have found the perfect product for you. I had an old model of this trackball in 2015 and had similar issues. Back then, you had to wiggle the ball to "wake up" the trackball to register clicks and scrolls. No I'm not talking about if you let the trackball sit there for 5 minutes and it goes to sleep, I mean seconds after you press something the scroll wheel goes to sleep. Flip the switch to the L position. This will continue. Flip the switch to the H position. This will continue. So yes, THIS IS NOT A NEW PROBLEM. It has actually evolved into a next generation product. ELECOM has now been added to my NEVER BUY list. Unfortunately I have to resort to Logitech's Double Down. At least I can solder in spare microswitches if it dies. I can't sit down to fix this crappy trackball. Oh, and speaking of Logitech, don't even think about using an ELECOM trackball with the included ball. It's borderline useless. Save the ball from your Logitech and use it instead. You also need to keep Logitech because you'll be coming back to it anyway. Great gift! (for the people you hate)
