I love the elastic at the waist, it's a large elastic sewn to the inside of the pants, but it's very well made and unobtrusive. The pants were a bit large for my son but that is to be expected, they are a size 12 and he usually wears a size smaller. The cut was straight rather than narrow, the bottom not tapering at all. The wash of the jeans is dark, wash with the same colors in any case.
