Review on 🚗 Set of 2 StrongArm 4603 Hood Lift Supports for 1984-1988 300ZX by Nick Mahoney

first let me say that I have a 1986 non-turbo 300zx. Good: product works perfectly, fits perfectly, etc. Bad: as the first reviewer was able to state The Nissan mentioned has riveted the stock racks to a small support bracket, the problem is this purchase doesn't come with a new standard replacement bracket huh means you have to somehow remove the original bracket to reuse it with these knuckles. I drilled through the rivets to loosen the stock brackets from the stock knuckles. After that everything was perfect. It would definitely be a five-star product if they didn't cut corners like other reviewers have said, but at the same time it's not their fault Nissan dropped this design, so I'll say that for the sake of the bottom line: It is a great product but if you are replacing storage shelves like me. Note, however, that an 8 minute job will likely take 30 minutes as you will need to remove the rivet to reuse the bearing mount. Good luck it's not hard just needless to see they could turn it on and save a lot of people a headache. I read the previous reviews before purchasing so I decided to give my two cents. Great product to be honest.
