This is my third off-the-grid flash drive. This Sandisk has 64 GB of space, and it was upgraded from a Kingston DataTraveler micro USB 2.0 to a Transcend jetFlash 880 micro USB 3.0. Although Kingston was slower, I did not notice a significant difference when using it in my day-to-day life. As a result of using USB 3.0, it appears that heating can occur, as evidenced by the fact that the Transcend also warmed up substantially. But I can say with absolute certainty that such a design is the most convenient: it does not become loose, you will not lose anything (caps on the connector), the optimum size (in my opinion, it is more difficult to lose), and there are holes for the rope to pass through. Because of the heating, I make an effort to cut down on the amount of time spent actively using it; therefore, I flipped it over and took it away. My biggest concern is that the impacts of warmth would hasten the breakdown of components.
