Received this because I wanted to try a different straightener. It heats up pretty quickly and works great, but not for spiral curls. I used it just like the other one and it takes MUCH longer to create spiral curls but when I use it at the same temperature/speed as my other I got PERFECT beachy waves, it was perfect! (I would wear a glove, the end of the iron gets very hot). It's worth mentioning a few things I don't like: 1.) The power light stays on all the time, even when it's not getting hot. . (You have to turn it off for it to turn off). 2.) To change the way you spin, you need to flip the handle, not just the direction you spin. This was EXTREMELY difficult to understand as it is not clear in the instructions. 3.) It takes longer to get spiral curls.
