Updated 7/3/18. I've used it for 8 rounds of golf and a few practice sessions since purchasing it. It remains very accurate and locks onto targets with ease. I accidentally dropped it in its case from 4 feet onto the bare pavement and there was no damage. The magnetic locking of the case remained reliable. As for the battery performance, it is very good and I replaced the battery last week although the battery was still charged. I am happy about this purchase. It is ready to use immediately; just insert the battery and off you go. I've tested it on multiple targets and it's accurate. Its body is made of durable plastic. It looks like real quality but at a price way below the top models. I need it as a golf range finder because there are no yard markers on the course we play. The battery was new and fully charged. The carrying case is sturdy and I like the magnetic lid. The case keeps the device safe inside. This is exactly what I wanted: an easy-to-use range finder, accurate but inexpensive. The only question I have is how long it will last - time will tell.
