Review on IPower GLFANXEXPSET8D25CHUMD Temperature Controller for Efficient Ventilation by John Hall

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great 6 " fan for a 5x5x6.5 grow tent.

44.5 watts at the lowest possible setting, 46.5 watts at the middle of the MEDIUM setting, 54.5 watts at the middle of the HIGH setting and 60.5 watts at the HIGH setting. This model is reportedly rated at 350 cfm. The anemometer, the highest number I saw, was 260 cfm, with no ducts connected, about 6 inches from the exhaust side of the fan. Once you've got the filter and air duct in place, that number is sure to drop even further, even with slight bends. BUT. read below. and you will see the "real world" numbers, not the manufacturers, "inflated". Numbers are shifted. Install MAXIMUM 260cc. I have a grow tent 5x5x6.5, on the lowest setting (180CFM), I use it for SUPPLY, with PVC ducts and (3) short 90° elbows. My tent is like a balloon and I have to open other vents or a door to let the air out. I don't think I'll ever need to use any of the other settings, the lowest (180cfm) is A LOT!

Pros
  • 8" 550 CFM Inline Fan: Composite fan blades and center hub reduce noise and vibration.
Cons
  • I will add later
