Very satisfied with the excellent performance of the product.

I was reluctant to try water-based wood putty after failing to revive two cans of solvent-based putty and having no choice but to throw them away. So far I've always been able to revive them because they dried out after sitting in the jars for too long. I don't use it that quickly and often, but when I'm ready to use it, I want to rely on it. It should have been available at the local Amazon warehouse as it arrived the next day. I immediately checked it out while working on the project and waiting for it to arrive. I was pleasantly surprised and in many ways very impressed with the product. The screw cap is very easy to assemble and disassemble and closes tightly to prevent drying out. Unlike the glass version which requires a screwdriver to pry off the lid and a hammer to firmly close the lid with each use. The jar is completely filled with wooden spatula to the top of the lid. Unlike the glass version, you're lucky when it's half full. This leads to quick drying.3. The rim of a plastic jar can easily be used to scrape off excess wood spatula and return it to the jar for another use. This reduces the amount of waste. Unlike the can version, the wooden spatula always gets stuck in the groove of the can lid and prevents the can from being sealed properly.4. The consistency, texture and thickness of the putty is very smooth and creamy, like wall plaster. It spreads easily and evenly and fills deep cracks and holes very easily without exerting much pressure. Canned versions are sometimes difficult to fill deep cracks and holes without much pressure. It dries just as quickly and is just as hard as solvent-based wood filler.6. It is easy to sand and becomes smooth and even, like solvent-based putty.7. Takes stains very well.8. I love the idea that when it gets too dry it only needs water to revive it. I haven't tested it yet, but with what I've seen so far, I'm more confident it will work well here as well. And you no longer need to use wood filler solvent to use and constantly restore it after drying. Overall I am very satisfied and surprised by this product and can only recommend it. In fact, I've ordered a jar of every color available from Revain so I have them when I need them. For the wood I use most including walnut, pine, red oak and cherry. I am very happy with it and will continue to use it.
