My initial install was a complete disaster. The outer cover is not connected to the mounting plate. I was very disappointed and ready to return it when I came across a review that mentioned that the mounting plate was tucked back into the cover for packaging purposes and had to be flipped over to install. I went back and flipped the mounting plate and it worked like a charm. Only the problems I had were not related to the product - it was due to the uneven surface of the wall. Still, I was able to make adjustments, loosening the actual switches to make everything a little smoother and making the lid easier to snap open. They look great, professional and really complete the room. The only minor complaint is that the plastic is a slightly different shade of white compared to my existing key switches.
