I occasionally cut sheet metal for various projects and I've always loved the idea of using rivet nuts instead of just drilling through them and using the threads as an anchor. Rivet nuts are stronger and more elegant. I know there are tool-less methods of installing rivet nuts and they seem to work, but the price of these was reasonable so I broke down and bought. I'm so glad I did! The tool is made in China but of excellent quality. The handles are strong, the stroke is strong and precise, and the mandrels' steel wires do not break if the tool is used properly. It comes with a hard carrying case (no handle) that securely stores tools, mandrels and accessories (adjustment pin and wrench). Finally, the rivet nuts are also well made. I have used threaded inserts which are easy to warp and tear off but they are NOT of this quality. A few tips though: (1) Installing rivet nuts can be a bit tricky (finding the right travel). I recommend you take a piece of sheet metal and practice it a few times before applying it to your project. You'll get the hang of it quickly, but it's not immediately intuitive (at least not to me). (2) The rivet nuts supplied with these tools vary in size and type (standard and metric). Think about the equipment you have or the types of projects you will be using frequently, and buy the size of tool you will be using the most. I recommend this one. Much luck!
