Attention! This collar will not withstand the momentum of a 40 pound dog flying at full speed. I have a mixed breed dog (probably a pit bull/rottweiler mix). She is about 40 pounds. We walked her on a leash with this collar (pictured) and the leash was tied to the metal frame of the house. When a small dog (one of her aggression triggers) passed by, she lunged at her with all her might and the collar was ripped in half completely at the connector and she got free. The leash didn't break at all and withstood all the force that the collar couldn't withstand. All is well but please consider another type of collar if you have a strong dog.
