I'm not using them for their intended purpose

I bought these because I ruined a pound salt container so I needed a place to store the salt. They keep the salt dry well, but not like a salt shaker, the holes are too big. I actually think it's a cocktail shaker. I don't drink cocktails so I can't judge their purpose. They must be well closed, because the salt stays dry.
