Review on ☕ 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker by Black & Decker CMD3400MB by Kim Smith

turns off at the end of brewing; Iced coffee

It seems to be brewed normally and the taste is as I expected. The watch hasn't done anything strange and is brewing towards completion. I really like the carafe/jug; It's nice to see someone able to make coffee that doesn't spill coffee from the sides of the coffee pot onto the counter. The only issue that will probably make me return the coffee maker is that it keeps turning off after the coffee has been brewed. It should stay on for two hours, but turns off almost every time it's empty. As it closes, the heating pad does not keep the coffee hot. When I pour it into a thermos, it gets a little warm. When I press the power button again, it tries to brew for about a minute and then beeps again like it's finished brewing, except this time the unit stays on. It must remain on after the first brew; I didn't have to turn it back on. EDIT: I've had the coffee maker for 1 year and 1 month now. This morning it suddenly stopped working. I brewed the coffee pot about 6 hours ago and when I tried to brew the last coffee pot it refused to work. It squeaked 10-15 minutes after I turned it on as if it had finished, but nothing was there and the heating pad was cold. My first thought was that I forgot to add water, but I checked and it was full of water. Since there is water in it and the heater stays cold, I suspect it just stopped working. The warranty is only 1 year, so it came out 1 month after the warranty expired. Another complaint is that most LEDs stopped working about 3 months after purchase, including the power LED, so I couldn't tell if it was on or off by looking at it. I also think it brews too slowly, 10-15 minutes for a full pot, but that might just be me. Finally, the taste of the coffee was average and the same no matter what setting I used (mild/normal/strong). On the plus side, the car looks nice with black and stainless steel along with blue LEDs. It also comes with a replaceable charcoal water filter that is programmable. I've never programmed mine, but it seems easy to understand. I used it almost every day, sometimes twice a day, for a little over a year. I paid £50 for mine and ended up being a bit disappointed that it only lasted 1 year. If I could get it at the current price I'd feel a little bit better when he left me. This time I will choose a different brand. Keep your receipt/invoice in case yours fail during the warranty period. I read several reviews on another website and several people quit smoking in 3 months or less. I guess 1 year and 300+ uses isn't bad, but I was hoping for more considering how much I paid for it.
