Works great - coffee, tea and espresso

We love this coffee maker. The adjustable temperature on the hot plate is handy, has a large opening for adding water unlike some others I've looked at. The decanter is ideal for pouring without dripping. It was bought at a bargain price while Revain was in stock.

Works great with coffee, tea and espresso

After two weeks of use I am very happy with this machine. I didn't really need a programmable function or activated carbon filter, but simply turning the filter off and turning it on manually was enough. I've always used cone filters because I thought they would make the coffee better, but I find basket filters just as good or even better. This machine makes great coffee, is easy to load, easy to clean, and pairs perfectly with other stainless steel and black kitchen appliances.

Annoying filter change

I bought this coffee maker and like everyone else I loved it at first. I love that there are many options, I love that you can make the hot plate warmer or less warm (although I don't know why you would want it less warm). I like automatic settings. It's easy to use. What I don't like and the main reason I'm giving it 3 stars is that I need to replace that stupid charcoal filter and it's nowhere to be found. Not the best buy, not on target, not at Wal-Mart. According to the manual, the carbon…

Black & Decker should stick to power tools

I bought this coffee maker about 8 months ago to replace a crazy coffee maker in a furnished apartment. I figured it would outlast me the year I planned to be here. Ha. Who designed this thing anyway? I've never had a coffee maker in my life that wouldn't turn off without unplugging it. Also, the lid of the water chamber opens and blocks the chamber itself, so you actually have to turn the machine over to pour water in. The controls are on the flat top of the coffee basket so you can't see them

  • Easy to read control panel

Better than my old Cuisinart!

Don't be put off by the low price - this is a quality coffee maker. OK, made decent coffee but had some issues - see other reviews for details). After reviewing the reviews, it turned out that NONE of the 12-cup coffee makers received such a high rating. I decided to go low because I figured I wouldn't lose much if it didn't work. This Black & Decker costs almost half that of a Cuisinart and outperforms the more expensive brand in almost every way: ease of use, quality of the coffee brewed…

turns off at the end of brewing; Iced coffee

It seems to be brewed normally and the taste is as I expected. The watch hasn't done anything strange and is brewing towards completion. I really like the carafe/jug; It's nice to see someone able to make coffee that doesn't spill coffee from the sides of the coffee pot onto the counter. The only issue that will probably make me return the coffee maker is that it keeps turning off after the coffee has been brewed. It should stay on for two hours, but turns off almost every time it's empty. As…
