I have had a Raythor rangefinder for half a year now. It worked great. I don't know how the battery life is because I charge it every 5th or 6th lap. I never got a low battery indicator. The shipyards are repeatable and consistent. The most important aspect of using this range finder is that it shows the distance to the closest object that will be crossed by the crosshairs when reading. This will almost always be a flagpole. But if you look under branches or at the top of a flag seen over a hill, you can get distances that reflect the distance to a branch or hill. Know how to use the tool! Once you learn how to use it properly, you won't experience extremely erratic results that can't be explained simply by having objects between you and the pin, or missing the pin and hitting objects off the green. Great tool to determine the distance to other objects like traps, trees and water. Point and shoot and you can calculate how far you can carry to the other side of the lake or how far you can carry that turn before flying out of the fairway. Much more reliable than GPS, but to be useful you must have line of sight to the target.
