This guide actually works with the 575 Flexvolt cordless saw. It fits in the grooves and the hold down screw fits, but after you finger tighten the screw the guide moves back and forth. The scales on the guide are accurate and allow the tool to be used from either side. I assume the instructions are more appropriate for DeWalt corded saws. I also think DeWalt should include a guide bar with their expensive saws as most users will need one. Incidentally, the 575 Flexvolt saw cuts PT material excellently, even with a little play in the guide. I leave the bolt in the saw hand-tight since it's less likely to be lost from the saw than from a carrying case.
