Press the button to turn on. Place the tip on your forehead. Push the button. Wait 1 second for a beep. View results. Long press the button to turn it off. Pretty easy to use. Pretty easy to use and as far as I can tell was accurate. The forehead usually reads 98.6. I've tried behind the ear, in the mouth, under the armpit and several other places and they all seem to be accurate. The highest temperature I've seen was 100.2 while radiating heat after hard work on a hot day, which I confirmed with another thermometer at 100.4. Within a reasonable accuracy of 0.2 degrees. However, it doesn't hurt. I love that it can show previous temperatures, for example it comes with batteries and I love that it's quick and easy to use. I don't like that it squeaks that much, but that's a minor complaint. In fact, it made several beeps to alert me to a fever at 100.2, which I think is good so it can be used at night, but it may unnecessarily wake a sleeping "patient". The display is easy to read even in the dark. It looks well built and will hopefully last at least a few years. Overall I would say this is a 5 star device in my book.
