Review on πŸ“± Enhanced iMESTOU Aluminium Motorcycle Phone Mount: Sturdy U-Bolt Handlebar Holder for 7.2-inch Large Phones with 360Β° Rotation and Adjustable Fit by Matthew Riley

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I immediately bought a second one!

WOW! As of this writing there are 2 written reviews and 5 global ratings...> The written reviews are both 5 STARS! HOW is it possible that this is only 70% 5 stars? I began my working life as an aerospace instrument mechanic and helped bring the Apollo to the moon. Later, for a short time, I was the production coordinator for the 1970's version of the Duesenburg SSJ Roadster. I have been arming for over 50 years! understand how it could get less than 5 stars! Okay, take off the star?> Well, if you take off to the moon -A) Yes, it's hard! Movie maybe more than StarB) You're in a world class bike race = don't carry your phone with you! I have an iPhone 12 mini in a wallet > The combo is thicker than just a phone, this mount needs a lot of tweaking and holds up well on the wallet and phone. C) A grip that fixes both balls is a little difficult, but it's good; Allows easy twisting of the locking knob/double lever for perfect positioning. Phone; - You need to determine the best grip position that provides the best positioning. Well, if you turn the phone from vertical to horizontal and back, it's difficult! - Is there an additional hardware option to block the phone 90Β°+ rotation? I'm assuming it's a special spare ball that attaches to the back of the phone holder. As a standard product improvement this will increase the cost so maybe make an option?! Considering this product is way stronger than others in the current price range - I can only dream! I'm still looking why it can get 4 stars; D) I could think about replacing the double socket kit; A two socket, two knob center rotation lever might work well: I found one like this on eBay for about $15 each - I'll get it and see how it works for Horz./Vert. Spin> Still at 5 StarsE) My iPhone 12 Mini without a case fits just a little loose and the side supports are very close to the buttons. "However, he's not going to get off for anything. Add a case and it fits snugly and the side buttons are crisp. > Your experience may vary! - At my age if I crash so hard I damage my phone in this mount (I'll die)! 3) My car is more than I need - but still the right price! 4) My RV - Okay, now I'm thinking about the weight, but it sure is solid 5) My home computer system main terminal; Built from parts of a drum rack! - This is a "transformer" of a computer station (hence the drum rack parts); Here I installed my first of these phone carriers! The computer system rack consists of a tube with an outside diameter of 1.5 inches. This motorcycle handlebar mount is not suitable. about a 1.5" pipe... I threw away the nice stainless steel U-bolt that came with the kit - Took 2 long #10-24 x 2.5" screws - It fits on 1.5" pipe with a 1/four replacement! > If you have a four wheeler, perhaps you would like to install it on a 1.5" OD pipe? If so, then it will work! Starting with two will most likely come with 5 ends - "5 stars in my rigging world".
