Review on ShowerShroom Revolutionary Stand Up Protector Strainer Kitchen & Bath Fixtures by Ryan Larson

After receiving this item, I understand why others have complained that it is missing. The top support, designed to prevent it from sliding down the drain, is very weak, although the product is said to have been updated and improved. Given all the user complaints before and after the upgrade that the ShowerShroom has gone down the drain and requires some costly plumbing to remove, I wouldn't recommend using it unless you do something to reinforce or tie down the top drain cover. somehow, as others have pointed out in their reviews. I used a very thick, solid, insulated copper wire that I attached to the top support with a zip tie. My rebar seems stiff enough to keep it from flying down the drain. I just installed it so I don't know how well the ShowerShroom catches the hair. For now I believe it will work well for collecting hair (the main reason I bought it); However, I give it 3 stars because the design of the item can and should be improved to keep it from being lost and users don't need to attach it themselves to use it safely. Shame on you ShowerShroom for not properly fixing this big issue yet.
