Nice new feature but at a price.

I've been waiting for Amope to release a traditional waterproof battery powered version for a long time, so I bought it immediately. The extra two speeds are a nice touch, and the push button controls are handy. The device is great for exfoliating dead skin, but it's a bit more difficult to hold because other devices don't have a rubberized surface. The handle is slightly oval and the surface is smooth, which sometimes causes it to slip in the hand when the tool is applied. I'm glad there is a seal in the battery compartment to keep water out, but disappointed that one good feature had to be lost to gain another. I use my Amope a lot and not as the built in rechargeable version because I don't want mine to die during use and then have to wait hours for it to charge before I can use it again. Also, the car's built-in battery stopped charging fully at some point, forcing me to buy a brand new device. For many years I have been using 2 sets of batteries in the regular version of Amope - one is used and the other is charging. When the batteries run out, I just turn them off and I'm good to go. This system has served me well, except for one feature I really wanted to have. I don't know about you, but my heels get very dry, especially in winter, so using the tool causes a lot of white powdery dry skin to be scraped off and sent off. in the air, anywhere in the car. As a result, it annoys me if I don't clean it afterwards, so I've been waiting for something that can be safely washed down without damaging the battery compartment etc. I don't understand why the company couldn't just keep the old design by incorporating waterproof padding into the new model. This would have made the "upgraded" version perfect, but instead I had to wrap some flat rubber bands around the handle to keep it from accidentally falling off. I wish that people who sit at computers and design things and think they're making improvements actually use their creations for a while to see if they work as intended in the real world. At that point, I had the feature I really wanted but was losing the feature I really needed.
