This item is fantastic. Used correctly, this will reduce your garlic clove to a blended paste while increasing the flavor power to unspeakable levels. I've always found garlic to have a strong but not overpowering flavor when cooked. The first time I used it to apply it, I licked my fingers and almost threw more off my other hand as the taste was shockingly strong, even pungent. Now I use it whenever I use garlic. Perfect for any cooked garlic, it also works well in salads to give them a hidden punch. Or in a drink if you are taking garlic medicinally. Because the design prevents you from using a cloth or sponge to clean, you don't want anything drying out or sticking to the surface of the grate. Nevertheless, cleaning only takes a few seconds under a strong jet of water. Although only had a short time, due to the good steel and a construction I expect a long lasting product. TL; DR: eat garlic? Get one.
