Replacing the fuse on a 2006 Chevrolet HHR
Worked like a champ. (Considering it's a fuse, I'd be surprised if it somehow blew.) I recently had to start a friend's car. I knew I shouldn't connect the jumper cable to the negative battery post, but I threw caution to the wind. Actually, I didn't connect the wire to the negative terminal, but to any terminal connected to the underhood fuse box. In the end, the 60 amp 32v fuse in slot 1, which I quickly found out to be responsible for my power steering, blew. Anyway, I couldn't find this fuse at the hardware store. The dealer had one but wanted $10.
