I've never had to clean an aquarium and didn't want to start with an expensive vacuum so I thought this would be a good test. I followed the directions and what a mess I made. The gravel got stuck, the water didn't move, then went too fast, almost sucking the fish in. God. If you don't have experience, don't try or ask someone to show you the tricks. I swung the tip around in the gravel to loosen up the dirt and then the whole tank was swimming in the mush and I couldn't suck it up and ended up dumping too much water. Clean up is no joke. I absolutely had to rinse thoroughly and then hang to dry for several days, pouring more water into the combs. The tubing was long enough and strong enough, the tip just didn't work for me and I thought it would work better. FISH AND I WERE NOT HAPPY CAMPERS!
