Review on Outdoor Hanging Sockets Weatherproof Backyard by Kayla Watson

Good looking, well made and well thought out

I installed these lights last week and they look and work well. I bought two sets and attached them to the side and back fences surrounding the patio in the corner of the yard. This area was always too dark at night and I wanted to find a way to add decorative lighting to it. The 18" light spacing combined with 7W vintage lights illuminates the patio with just the right amount of light. Very soft and unobtrusive. The 18 foot string length was also perfect for the size of my patio. The fairy lights seem to be of high quality and all the lights worked great. The packaging of the pears was very good, none were damaged. Contrary to what some reviewers have said, however, there were no spare bulbs. I wonder if everyone is looking at the same light sets. I would like to point out that vintage lightbulbs are rated for 1000 hours, so it's a good idea to have spares on hand if you intend to use them frequently. I also find the average bulb socket size a bit unusual, so I bought an extra pack of 24 replacement bulbs. I want to make sure I always have spare bulbs in the future. This is especially true as the world moves from incandescent to LEDs. I may see a problem finding replacement bulbs later, so I highly recommend purchasing replacements now. Installation was relatively painless. I screwed 4" I studs into the fence posts and threaded a guide wire through the studs. I then attached each bulb to the guide wire with cable ties. This allowed me to optimally position the light. I also like the fact that the lead and tail Wires are 9" long at the tips to maintain 18" string spacing without having to wrap additional wire. This made the install very clean. We put a lot of thought into the design of these lights and they worked really well for my application. Only time will tell how well they hold up, but it looks like they should work really well.
