I was a bit skeptical when I first opened the packaging and saw a real siphon pump. It didn't seem like the most durable product, but I gave it a try and was really impressed with how well it worked. At first it seemed to me that removing water from my aquarium was a little slow. I figured I had to make sure the drain hose was under my tank. I had an extra hose that I attached a siphon to that allowed me to drain water from my tank onto the lawn outside. The best parts of this siphon for me are the tube and the filter. I was able to thoroughly clean the bottom of my tank. Even though I have little substrate in my aquarium, I still find it difficult to remove fish droppings from the bottom of the aquarium. The siphon cleaned the bottom of my aquarium very well. This siphon is a great addition to my aquarium supplies.
