I bought this specifically to make seasonal outdoor preserves in my garden, especially for pickling. Pickle canning turns your entire kitchen area into a torture room of hot vinegar. Even if it's hot outside, it's better to preserve your pickles outside than at home. This burner did not disappoint. My Graniteware bain-marie jar worked great with this burner. It was a much more enjoyable experience going out this year and I'm so happy I got it. Also, it heats up the pan very quickly. If you are unsure whether your cookware will work with this induction burner, check that the magnet is sticking to the bottom of the pot. If it sticks, it will work.
