This thing can carry a decent amount of weight as long as your joists are bolted to the ceiling. My only concern is that the bolts for the individual connecting rods aren't really tightened where they don't move. It's not really a problem unless you're worried about an earthquake, and even then it'll just shake. I doubt there will be any damage. Installation took a bit but I defiantly installed 1 roof mount first, then connected its mate and installed its mate after it was loosely connected. After that, make adjustments. Otherwise, you could really go insane if you don't take the time to mark the ceiling with a T-joist. Most of the time was spent on these screws. If you have influence I would use this unless you need a good workout. When using a punch, launch the bolt with your hand first. pre-drilling required. I made it easier, but it still took a while. All in all 5 stars!
