This unit nearly set my car on fire today. I started the car and walked for 5 minutes (that's for sure as I have time stamps on the photos I took). I left the music playing and plugged in the power cord. When I came back I saw flames and smoke inside and quickly put them out. Luckily I left the device on the passenger seat and not in a more dangerous place. If I had left my car longer, it would probably have burned down. The severity of this malfunction could potentially be massive. I bought this device two months ago in August. It was working fine until two days ago. Then the internal circuitry must have deteriorated - it suddenly wouldn't connect easily to my iPhone, the maximum volume dropped, then it started not turning on unless plugged into an outlet. The finale was a fire in my car. I strongly recommend not buying this product as mine posed a serious hazard and wanted to warn anyone about to buy it.
