Good thing I had to reconfigure 2 on my build as the rods were just touching. You can easily center them so the pushers don't touch them - very important! Otherwise they will touch and break something! You will notice this with the valve clearance, the stem tightens and loosens as it rotates, then tightens and then releases - this indicates that the pushrod is touching the guide plate, you need to loosen the rocker arm. Rivets and reissue. Don't skimp on this step or you'll end up on forums with questions like "Why did my engine stall after 5 hours of use?". :)
