Disappointing pushrods for Automotive enthusiasts

As a result of my tests, I determined that these pushrods did not improve my car's performance. They failed to live up to the advertised specifications. The only positive aspect was that they were easy to install. Unfortunately, the poor quality of these pushrods caused my engine to make unpleasant noises and run less smoothly than before. Avoid these pushrods if you want your car to perform at its best.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Poor quality, less smooth performance

Didn't work for me with factory head 113

I upgraded my 1990 Corvette with factory heads to standard tappet guides and rocker arms and in this kit my roller tips are not perfectly aligned. If I move the rocker arm to the side, I'm sure it moves far enough for the rocker arm body to touch the valve tip. So for me it's a waste of money and I buy adjustable baffles. I have a factory aluminum head AKA 113. This is my experience with this casting, but other castings may work.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • loose change

great stuff - be sure to center them with poles! They move slightly over

Good thing I had to reconfigure 2 on my build as the rods were just touching. You can easily center them so the pushers don't touch them - very important! Otherwise they will touch and break something! You will notice this with the valve clearance, the stem tightens and loosens as it rotates, then tightens and then releases - this indicates that the pushrod is touching the guide plate, you need to loosen the rocker arm. Rivets and reissue. Don't skimp on this step or you'll end up on forums…

Pros
  • Pushrods
Cons
  • Update available
