Review on ๐Ÿ”จ Makita HR2475 1-Inch SDS Plus D-Handle Drill by Joshua Romero

A fatal error that cannot be overlooked.

Although I love almost everything about this drill - and this is my second drill - I give it 1 star. Why? Because when you use this drill, you end up unknowingly pressing the "Constant On" button, which locks the drill at full throttle, and the drill keeps spinning when you release the trigger. It will happen when you least expect it. This causes one of two major problems: either when drilling under heavy load and you let go before the drill comes close to overloading, the drill keeps running and burns out the motor before you know what's wrong (I had my first drill ) or the drill slips out of your hand, twist the drill itself instead of the drill and tangle the cord around itself, which will eventually break the cord in half (2nd drill I bought). In my opinion, this is such a serious omission in Makita design that it deserves to be discarded. FWIW, I'm a fairly strong, middle-aged man with years of power tool experience. I also have a few other Makita tools and am very happy with them. However, buying this drill was a costly mistake which I unfortunately made twice.
