I have read reviews and answered questions. I have a 1 1/2" thick resin top with no overflow at the drain attachment point. I really like the look, and without an overflow I didn't want the drain to be airtight. Although the photos show the 2 5/8" long thread hardly fits on the sink. The problem is that the extension tube is held by the collet and gasket and hits the mounting nut. I had to unscrew it with a wrench, very afraid of damaging the drain. I would not recommend this for anything with a total drain hole thickness greater than 1 3/8 inches.
