I bought this to replace the standard car radio fuse holder so I can quickly open the circuit so I can safely work on the amplifier and power distribution. Unfortunately, it doesn't open the circuit at all. It had virtually no resistance with the switch in either position. This is a security element that is more dangerous than not using it. Without them, you're forced to manually remove the terminal, but once it's installed you expect it to serve its purpose in life. By the time you realize the problem, it may be too late. I do not recommend this to anyone.
