To start, I accidentally bought 2 ball wrappers; Let me start with that. However, I would have had a curler and scissors with this purchase, so I wanted to keep this one. I tried installing it on the desktop. The swift's locking mechanism and pole were not strong enough to support the swift as it was designed, let alone support the weight of the twine. When trying to assemble the winder, I followed the instructions exactly; After 20 minutes I still couldn't put the spindle in the intended hole and reattach the fasteners to be able to unwind the skein of yarn from the skein. So remember I stated I accidentally bought 2. Within 3 minutes I assembled another winder and started winding yarn according to the manufacturer's instructions. I was very disappointed as I was dying to use these tools as I have been working with textiles since I was 8 years old.
