I was able to install in about 20 minutes including testing and checking systems before trying it on my phone. I spent most of the time using a dremel to carefully grind out a nice tight hole for the bushing to fit properly. The retaining ring helps keep the bushing nice and tight. I installed it in my 1984 Trans Am to replace an old dead cigarette lighter socket. After installation, I can still fold down the ashtray door with ease. Pros: Very easy to install (especially wiring), either using existing cigarette lighter cables or directly on the battery. The charging power is very high to enable fast charging of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. It's nice to be able to turn the device on and off and see the battery voltage (handy for those cold winter mornings combined with potentially dead/dead batteries). Cons: Not a big deal for me personally, but note that this device doesn't offer fast charging for Google Pixel series phones (they're obviously finicky and need a full 18 volts for fast charging). Long story short, a great buy for the dollar if you're upgrading your car's electronic charging system.
