Review on Lacis 0.8mm Verna Straight Beadle Needle: High Precision for Delicate Beadwork – 7.5-Inch Length by Carol Miller

I like it but could use an end cap and storage tube

The tool arrived quickly. I have this and a similar Fleegle Beader tool. The downside of this tool compared to the Fleegle Beader is that it doesn't come in a protective tube and doesn't have a cap to protect the end. You get two cheap little black spacers to hold the beads on the instrument. I like how it works but I would recommend 1mm which works for both size 8/0 and 6/0 beads. I bought 0.8mm and only 1 of 8 beads in my size 10/0 will fit in this tool. The 1mm tool allows you to use it with tip and fingering and it gives you a bit more tool to hold the 6/0 and 8/0 beads. I will use this tool often. I like the hooked end with a pointed head to easily go through the beads and I prefer the curved end of this tool to the Fleegle Beader; It just works better with my bead spinner than Fleegle beads with a slightly bent/curved end. This has a softer curve, making the bead spinner easier to use. So each tool has its pros and cons. It's hard to find a case for that. The Fleegle Beader fits into a 6" bead tube for protection so I don't lose it. This tool is about 2 inches longer making finding the pipe difficult. I ended up ordering a 1mm beading needle from my regular beading shop because they are giving away storage tubes right now using the Beadle needle tool bought here and mine 1mm together in a storage tube. I will find a 1cm long rubber tube with a hole in it to use as a cap. He needs a hat.
