You don't need to go to your Ford Dealership to recalibrate your steering angle. Very important! Used to repair my 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid after a power steering failure and a yellow key on the dash. The code b2278 came about when I scanned with the elm327 OBD Wi-Fi scanner I bought from Revain and used the forscan light app on my iPhone. After replacing this sensor, the steering wheel did not work immediately. I had to go into the forscan lite app and recalibrate the steering angle sensor which basically means point the steering wheel straight ahead and tell it to calibrate and it tells you turn the key and click a few times " Done” should press App. Like new!
