6/2020 - I bought this because my 10 month old herding and pyrrh mix puppy was chewing on the plastic tray that came with his crate (forget the mat that disappeared after a week or two). So far so good, he can handle having toys thrown at him and anything he does inside him while I'm at work. UPDATE 10/22/21: The downside is it's been over a year now and it's rusting from nervously urinating in the drawer (has a problem) and I've been cleaning it constantly. I bought what I could afford, so I got galvanized rather than stainless steel. Also, the first one I bought didn't fit in the drawer so I had to downsize it and it doesn't fit that drawer properly but does the job. I'll see if I can spray rustoleum on the inside of the tray to stop the rusting.
