Review on πŸ”§ Wilwood 4444/30 260-11179 Proportioning Valve: Enhancing Control and Performance by Michael Hale

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Well made, works great

This polypropylene valve is a great option for custom brake installations. You can also get a manifold block for about the same price as a polypropylene check valve. In the past I have used an OEM cam block with an additional PP adjustable valve for the rear brake. This is a much cleaner install and does exactly the same thing. The only "problem" is that you lose the "stop" switch on the dash. With OEM control valves, if you have a leak in a brake line, this will release the coil in the block and seat the brake light on the dash. I really don't think you need a light to tell you you have a broken brake line, it's pretty obvious! This device has a built in pressure sensor but it should activate the rear brake lights whenever there is no brake pressure at all and indicate no problem. I haven't used this feature and would love to get it without the push button switch and plugged in if it were a few bucks cheaper.
