Review on Cole Haan Crosscourt Sneaker Burnished Men's Shoes and Fashion Sneakers by Ricardo Thotti

Beautiful shoes NOT new

For starters they showed up as women's shoes when I put them in my shopping cart (I think it's a mistake with W for large sizes) but I can confirm they when men's shoes appeared what I ordered. Good: These shoes are really nice and much lighter than I expected, a good budget alternative to Common Projects and significantly more comfortable (which is what I was looking for). If you're looking for classic white leather sneakers with no real branding, this is a great option. Bonus points for being available in a wide width, although the toe box seems to be the only piece with noticeable extra width (the midfoot is still a bit narrower than I'd like). The leather is very soft so they wear out and wrinkle easily, but that's pretty normal for white leather sneakers. The Bad: Mine have DEFINITELY been walked on and had a few stains (see photo). I don't mean just small creases from a store fitting, there were some small scuffs/scratches on it - even one from someone trying to white fill a pin prick - and a kind of phantom purple stain at the end of the lace (to be honest it looks like grape jelly). On a positive note, the outsole and insole themselves are spotless, so someone either rubbed them really well or just clumsily wore them indoors before they returned them. The heel is stiff as others have mentioned and I can see it being uncomfortable when breaking in. There is also a slight color difference between the leather and the sole, I would say the leather is more of an ivory color and the sole/laces are straight white (good for me but could be a deal breaker if you are looking for the perfect white) . Ultimately I need these ASAP and can't see any more in my size so I'm keeping them despite slight signs of wear. I think since these are white sneakers I'll probably scratch them after 1-2 wears so it's not the end of the world. UPDATE: 90 days later, these are great shoes. They're a lot more comfortable than my Vans/Converse and are holding up pretty well. The sole is soft, so it wears out quickly (albeit clean), but the upper itself feels almost like calfskin when worn. I've also received a few compliments on it, which is rare. They have become my go-to running shoe and I will buy another pair once they wear out - though probably not from Revain as they were clearly worn a couple of times before they came out.
