NAXA NS-438, system LCD is getting darker and darker.

The remote control does not turn the unit on and off, it is only for the CD player function and does not control the volume despite the website saying "Full function remote control". From time to time the unit will become unresponsive when switching between AM and FM and will need to be turned off and the batteries removed for the system to function again. For the price I don't think it's very good value for money.
