The pivoting vertical bike hook concept is great. However, it's not as practical as I had hoped. The claws/teeth on the wheel holder serve to support the wheel, but unfortunately make it difficult to attach the hook to the rim. The system works flawlessly on a light road bike. It takes some getting used to lifting the bike up to the wheel holder and then manipulating the hook on the rim. A 2" wide MT wheel is extremely difficult to assemble. The wheel needs to be loaded diagonally so it can clear the hook and "teeth" of the wheel mount. I think it's worth the time and effort, an upright one Using a bike system like the Steadyrack that won't upset or hurt you in the process!
