Bought this collar for my dear sweet German Shepherd. She is prone to obvious skin allergies and will chew herself until she develops scabs. Have shown them to several vets. Tried several grain free products with no success. She is on flea prevention and has not had a single flea. She took medication, creams and shampoos, but there was no improvement. I didn't want to put a "pudendae" on her, so I decided to give this collar a try. I bought size L. It fits well, fixes well. The material is flocked and feels "cozy" and durable. I read a few reviews that said they couldn't inflate it. This collar has a "pinch valve" like you find on inflatable boats in the pool/water. You have to squeeze the bottom of the valve to open it when you blow or pump air into it. It took a bit of effort, but was pretty easy to inflate by mouth. Size L fits my German Shepherd very well and the velcro closure makes it secure and tight. This actually prevents them from chewing on their sides, hind legs, and back. She can sleep in it (but I'll admit she doesn't look happy!) and eat, drink and use the potty in it. I don't think my dog would recommend it, but I'm happy to do so.
