I would like to have this dipstick on my A4. For me, the good old dipstick is much more reliable and accurate than fiddling with the knobs in my car to read the oil level. I open the bonnet, check with an oil dipstick - done. No, there's no app for that, and that suits me. The hood appears to sit close to the yellow tab at the top of the dipstick when closed, but there's plenty of slack. Note that the level on the dipstick seems to match the electronic level exactly, but I haven't checked the full range yet. I hope modern engines go back to old-school dipsticks until we only have to measure fluid levels in our electric vehicles.
