I'm in the military and tired of ruining my boots with a nasty shifter stain. So I bought this product to fix this problem. The product works as advertised but I doubt how long it will last. The photos I've uploaded show the damage he's already received from just a few rides and I wonder if he'll last the full riding season. The first thing that worries me is the velcro attached to the side panel of the product. It has no backing and it started to crumble from the first wear. Second, this is the switch panel itself. I checked my shifter for burrs that could cause small cuts in the material, but didn't see or feel anything that could be the cause. In order for this product to be repaired and I can give it five stars, the replacement pad must be replaced with genuine cowhide leather and the velcro must have a backing to hold the velcro together.
