Installed the Windows and Showbiz drivers that came with the installation CD. Opened Showbiz and got no video output, only sound. I went ahead and started filming videos from my old VCR. When I checked the output file, both video and audio were captured perfectly. I wanted to be able to preview while recording the video, so I started using VLC. VLC displayed both video and audio perfectly. VLC also lets you record what you film. But it saves it in AVI format which makes the files huge. 40 seconds of recorded video weighs 1GB!. So I was too lazy to look for another program and returned to Show Biz. I ended up shooting almost 3 hours of video. I crossed my fingers when I tried to play the video file (it was just over 6GB). Luckily, all the videos and audios were recorded correctly. The quality is as good as an old family VHS tape can get. Based on a little research it seems that the lack of video previews in Showbiz is due to my Nvidia video driver (unverified). Overall I am very satisfied with this product.
